Bird House

Kitchen + Utility + Dining

The Bird House kitchen has been completely reimagined, evolving from its original 1960s design into a sophisticated chef’s kitchen. The former painted wood cabinets and ceiling fur-downs were replaced with custom, ceiling-height white oak cabinetry, finished in a warm stain that beautifully complements the white oak hardwood flooring and striking natural quartzite countertops.

These updates not only enhance the sense of height and openness in the space, but also create a warm, inviting environment where friends and family can gather comfortably around the peninsula. Meanwhile, the layout provides ample room for the chef to work with ease. The project also included a refresh of the adjacent utility and dining rooms, seamlessly extending the new kitchen design across the entire side of the home.
