Bungalow Bend

Kitchen & Living Space

The Bungalow Bend project was truly a designer’s dream come to life. We worked closely with the homeowners to thoughtfully reimagine how their living spaces could best support their family’s needs. Interestingly, this meant adding a wall rather than removing one—a reminder that great design isn’t always about opening everything up. Sometimes, defining spaces creates a more functional and meaningful home.

This unique ranch-style layout offered two separate living areas, which we intentionally designed with distinct purposes. One was transformed into a cozy library and reading retreat, while the other became a welcoming family living space seamlessly connected to the kitchen.

Upon entering the home, you’re greeted by a custom-built entry shelving feature that serves multiple purposes. It provides practical storage and a convenient drop zone, while also acting as a subtle divider that establishes a more formal entry experience.

The kitchen is truly the heart of the home—an enchanting blue, cottage-chic space that feels both warm and inviting. A rust and cream handmade ceramic tile backsplash sets the tone, blending casual charm with tailored sophistication. To enhance both functionality and connection, we added windows along the back wall and strategically positioned the sink to offer clear sightlines to the backyard—perfect for keeping an eye on little ones while working in the kitchen.

No detail was overlooked in this gorgeous, thoughtfully curated space.
